Emails from Malacca

My mom's friend, Joanne Lee, from Malacca brought several copies of my book to Malaysia. Here are excerpts of her emails (to my mom) on how the books were received there.

I have a great time selling the book "True Love Weds". No difficulty to get people to buy the book at all. They grab for it as soon as I show them the> cover. :) A student of mine bought 5 copies to bring back to New Zealand. She is going to promote it there too. So I have sold all my 30 copies!

Yes, I do need more of the books. Another university group is asking for it too. :)

I will be bringing a team of about 30-40 fresh graduates for mission trip to Philippine. We are deciding between General Santos City or Baguio. Probably Baguio :) Our dates are from 16-28 June 2006.

Would it be possible to meet up with the author of TRUE LOVE WEDS ? It would be such an encouragement to the group and perhaps they could go back to promote it even more.

Blessed New Year 2006

Like a Reunion

This past year was like a virtual reunion for me and some old friends. Because of my book, True Love Weds, I've caught up with some high school and college classmates.

Rhea, who now works in Canada, asked her brother living in Marikina to buy ten copies of my book and have them shipped to Canada. She gave them away as birthday presents to her friends there. She emailed me that she felt like she's caught up with me despite the ten years we've not seen each other all because she read the book.

Dawn, our magna cum laude in college, just dropped by this blogsite a few days after Christmas. She said she was surprised to see my book in one of the shelves of National Bookstore and bought it right away. Now we're in touch again after seven years!

I wonder how many more virtual reunions I will have this year...

Happy 2006 everyone!
